My guest this week is Jeff Mueller aka The Mighty Jerd. He is a podcaster, actor and entrepreneur with the goal of helping geeks and nerds lose weight, get stronger and feel better about themselves. He is the co-host of the Geek Fitness Matter Podcast with Ryon Day where they discuss fitness and geekery.

As an actor he has appeared on television (Copy Cat Killers), in films (Mennonite of the Living Dead, I Want To Tell You Something, Riverment), and in commercials.

Episode 39: Red Hood The Fan Series

My guest this week is Ian Lang, the co-creator and star of Red Hood: The Fan Series. Ian’s CD828 Studios and Tim Kou’s Method 2 Madness Films are co-producing the show featuring Red Hood in an original story with an original villain. Jason Todd will be joined by other members of the Bat-family including Nightwing, Damien Wayne, and Red Robin.

Episode 37: International Mobile Film Festival

Greetings Entreprenerds!

My guests this week are Susan Botello and Aaron Nabus from the International Mobile Film Festival. Susan founded the festival in 2009 as the first film festival to screen films shot with mobile cell phones on a big screen in a traditional film festival setting. The festival is held annually in San Diego and this year will be April 28 and 29.

In addition to the annual festival, Susan works to educate filmmakers and the general public about the use of mobile phones as the most accessible and hands-on way to create films and tell stories. She does this through S. Botello Productions Mobile Film School and through her weekly podcast SBP Podcast, The Voice of Mobile Film.

We’re also joined by one of the International Mobile Film Festival’s Brand Ambassador’s Aaron Nabus, who you may remember from Episode 4 as the co-host of The Hall H Show Podcast, which is the voice for independent creators and artists.

Episode 31: Quest of the Muscle Nerd

My guest this week is Matthew Young, director of the film Quest of the Muscle Nerd, which chronicles the first ever bodybuilding/cosplay competition. The feature length documentary follows the competitions founder and two competitors through their physical training, costume construction and event preparation, culminating in the first ever Muscle Nerd Competition, held at Dragon Con 2017.

The film aims to tell the story of what it is to be a nerd and how the competitors and event coordinator overcome personal struggles to achieve goals and become something more. You can view the first trailer for Quest of the Muscle Nerd below.
